Healthcare Exec murdered: Are companies making executives too easy to find?

Today’s confession from Luigi Mangione, "the UnitedHealthcare shooter", talking about WHY he executed his target and HOW he found out where he would be, immediately made me think of something my recent *Vegas Crime Files* guest said about Executive Protection.

"Social media is a stalker’s dream. Get your executives' faces off your website!"

Retired LVMPD Sgt. Tom Page spent 25 years with Metro and later served as Director of Security for the UFC, protecting high-profile individuals including Dana White.

During our conversation about executive protection, Tom issued a warning that seems particularly relevant right now: "Companies need to think seriously about how much information they put online about their executives—including their identities and photographs."

We talked about how protection professionals evaluate threats, what they look for in someone's behavior and communications, the dangers posed by stalkers and

obsessed fans, and why protecting someone is far

more about "anticipating an attack than responding to one."

Tom says 95% of executive protection is planning and logistics.
