The stories Facebook won't let you see.
The allegations against former City Councilwoman and Justice of the Peace Michelle Fiore are piling up. If you'll recall, after her house was raided by the FBI, she chose to run for office again, likely intending to just throw them off or at least delay any prosecution, which would've looked political at the time. When the FBI raids your house, there's usually a reason.
Not always, obviously, and everyone is innocent till proven guilty. We also know that the FBI has been known to persecute people who are innocent. I mean, look at the folks who were in Washington DC on January 6 and what's happened to some of them. For more on that, I would highly recommend Ashli: The Untold Story of the Woman of Jan 6, by Jack Cashill. I also conducted an interview with Jack about Jan 6 and his book. Watch that HERE.
Back to Michele, it's no secret that I have not been a fan of hers, since I don't believe she has been the best example of conservatism in the way she behaves. I'm not going to try the case here, or make personal attacks, but I have often wondered how it was that Michele lived like she did with the amount of money City Council people make. She supposedly had some business on the side, but even that was questionable. She always seemed to be living a lot larger somehow. Apparently there are a wide range of people and organizations who gave her money that, according to the FBI, was used for personal expenses. I hope they televise the proceedings!
It's always good to get parenting advice from people whose parenting skills you admire, but Tik Tok is probably not the best place to go. That should go without saying, but millions actually do look to complete strangers on social media for advice.
Kamala Harris has published her "New Way Forward". As you can imagine, it solves nothing. I'll do a video on this today, that you can see on my Facebook page, or on at HeidiHarrisShow.com/videos.
If you donate to orphans overseas, be certain that money isn't used to traffic them. A study has proven that in places like Cambodia and Myanmar, children are trafficked using false paperwork, and the huge amounts of money American's donate is facilitating this. It's so pervasive, and so disheartening. I know that God is watching, and in the end He will provide justice.
I'm not sure who this is a "win" for, but a surrogate mother has now been granted access to a child she gave birth to and handed over to two MEN to raise. They apparently didn't want her "interference". After all, that's what they paid for, right? They didn't want a female in their lives or their baby's. Sick, selfish behavior. So now we have three people who don't like each other trying to "raise" a healthy, bonded child? In a world where divorce is rampant, we sure don't need more of that. This can't have a happy ending for the child.
When you consider bringing children into the world, or adopting, the only thing that should matter is that you can provide what a child needs. They aren't there to fulfill yours, you are there to meet theirs, and to form their character so they become competent, caring, contributing members of society.
Maybe some good can come out of this - people who want to "buy" children will be put on notice that they can lose complete control of their "posession" and have to share it with the surrogate. Maybe this "arangement" will happen less frequently as a result. We can only hope.
So I guess that "climate change" stuff has paused for a minute? I mean they're making excuses as to why tropical storms have been "historically" absent this year. According to "scientists", this is the first year since 1968 that a new storm didn't develop between August 13 and September 8. Huh. That's weird. I thought "climate change" was constant.
Everything is always somebody else's fault. Here's a family who's suing because their daughter fell out of a second story window in off-campus housing. Well, how did she fall out of the window? I mean, give me a break! How many people have lived in this apartment in the past, and didn't fall out of the window? It's a joke. Everything is not actionable. Sometimes your kids just do stupid things and you're just gonna have to live with the consequences
Nate Silver, the famous pollster, has predicted a Trump landslide. Of course in 2016, on ELECTION DAY he predicted Hillary would win, so let's not get too excited. All Trump should have to do is hold it together, and stay focused on the obvious issues, and not waste time on personal attacks. You know, take the high road....She's running on a failed record and everyone knows it. The Independents have to be reminded of what four more years of Bidenomics would look like. This should be easy, but Trump gets in his own way far too often.
Another "daycare" kid gets "forgotten" in the car by a busy parent. In this case TWINS. The truth, is, people are too busy, CHOOSING to do too much, and kids become just another errand. You never see stay-at-home parents do this. I know it's harder than ever to make ends meet on one salary, but putting two kids in daycare is pretty pricey, and probably costs more than the average mom makes. If you add up what Mom makes vs the hassle and expense of daycare, especially for two kids, etc, often people can make it on just the one salary. You just have to want fewer things, live somewhere cheaper, drive an old car, or something. I don't know these parents, but we see this all the time. I know people who don't have to work to survive, who still dump their kids in daycare, because they're chasing their egos and ambitions instead of forming the character of their children.
We all have distractions, we all have demands on our time, and we all have to cut through the chaff and decide how to spend every day. Warren Buffet once said, "Success is saying NO to almost everything." We ALL have more control over our schedules than we admit. If you control the things you CAN control, and not run around like a maniac, trying to be everything to everyone, you'll have time for the unexpected events in life. I don't know these particular people, but I know their lives were too "busy" or this would not have happened. Doing too much is a CHOICE.
I actually saw this semi-balanced story on Axios today. Mike Allen was talking about how Kamala Harris manages to dodge scrutiny and actually outlined many of the positions she used to hold versus the positions she now now claims. Take a look at it. When the left goes after the Democratic candidate for president, you know you've got issues.
Then there was this hopeful headline from Axios, "US Newsleaders Sound The Alarm on Press Freedom". At first I thought, "Wow I can understand why they're concerned, especially in light of Mark Zuckerberg's admission that he'd surrendered to the Biden administration regarding censorship of Covid stories, concerns about the vaccines, anything negative about Hunter Biden, etc." But alas, we're talking about Axios. They don't even realize how biased they are. They only consider Trump a threat to freedom of the press and not Mark Zuckerberg, the former owners of X (when it was Twitter) or anyone else who tries to control the narrative. Hopefully the American people can see past their nonsense. The lefty press simply cannot stand it that they can no longer control the narrative.
Kellyanne Conway is back, leaping to the defense of President Trump. I think she's one of the few women Trump actually listens to, and her political instincts are unsurpassed. This upcoming debate is going to be huge for President Trump. He's going to need to show some reserve. He's going to have to get straight to the point and not risk turning off undecided voters.
In an op-ed featured in The Daily Mail, Kellyanne wrote, "Simply put, Americans prefer strength over weakness and commonsense fairness over wokeness.....Despite scurrilous and unserious suggestions that his campaign is suffering a 'breakdown', Trump is in control and command. I know because in our weekly phone calls and during regular visits, I detect the same energy, alacrity and winning focus that I've witnessed by his side for years – first as his final 2016 campaign manager and later serving as a senior counselor in his White House.
That fighting spirit the entire world saw in those spontaneous, iconic moments after he was shot in Butler – his blood-stained face and fist assuring us that he will not back down – was real. Meanwhile, nobody's talking about the Democrats' own internal breakdown...."
She's always been so good at messaging. Let's hope Trump heeds her advice and sticks to the issues, instead of wasting time on personal attacks.
Here we go again. Another school shooting. Another enabling parent. Always seems to be the case in these school shootings, doesn't it? This time the Georgia school shooter's FATHER has been arrested for MURDER for buying his son an AR-15 weapon for Christmas, even after the FBI paid them a visit last year. It seems young Colt Gray had been threatening to shoot up a school. Why he was allowed back into school is a huge question, and parents should demand answers.
He had initially attempted to go back into his own classroom and shoot it up, (apparently after retrieving a weapon), but was thwarted by automatically locking doors, that locked him out. This young lady was a student in his class, and described what happened. It was terrible enough, but it could have been much worse.
The latest story related to trans idiocy: A fashion magazine in Canada has now named men two biological men as some of the most incredible women in Canada. We have lost our minds. Are they serious with this nonsense? As hard as it is to sell magazines they still persistent this? Yes they do.
The Human Rights Campaign, which is a gay rights organization, is furious that more and more companies and organizations are pulling back and no are no longer concerned with getting a stamp of approval from them. The activists have overplayed their hands and a lot of companies are realizing that their customers are not really concerned with whether or not their policies meet someone's DEI standards. In fact the oppostie is true. Can you say Bud Light?
Once customers realize what's happening, they express their displeasure by no longer buying their product. Harley Davidson was one recent example, and there are many others. I remember the Super Bowl where Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake pulled that ridiculous "wardrobe malfunction" move, and I can tell you as a broadcaster, the ripple effect was huge. They just comes point when people have had enough, and they're going to push back.
The City of Las Vegas continues to drag out a setllement with a property owner whose ability to buld on his property was repeatedly thwarted by City officals. This whole thing started because a bunch of wealthy people lived on what was the failing Badlands golf course. The owner of the golf course decided to turn off the water and develop the property in a more proftiable way, which he had every legal right to do, but because these wealthy voters whined, politicians panderd to them, and the lawsuits began.
Then-City Councilman Bob Beers, who was the Councilmam for the area at the time, told everyone that Yohan Lowie had the right to be able to develop his property, and lost his reelection bid as a result. Undeterred, the City of las vegas continued to fight it. After all, it's not their money, so why should they care? Now the bill is going to be close to $650 million. Job openings are being frozen, which night not be a great loss to society, but that's a huge amount of money for parks and other things that will not be happening for those of us who live in the City of Las Vegas. It's an outrage and we're all gonna suffer for the stupid decisions of some dim-witted politicians who wanted to pander to a couple dozen rich people. Stay tuned.
