Corey Levitan, (great writer) has a story in Casino.org about the clothing worn by the man discovered in a barrel in Lake Mead a few years ago, as the lake was receding. Several bodies were found, but this guy remains unidentified. He was shot up and dumped there decades ago. Famous Vegas mob lawyer and former Mayor, Oscar Goodman, said "the guy couldn't have been a mobster, wearing K-Mart clothes".
"Two years of investigating by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and finally, the FBI, produced no credible leads, even after the FBI released a digital reconstruction of the victim’s face last year."

When I was a kid, my dad used to terrify me with stories of people they never found in Lake Mead. Lifejackets weren't required before I was born, so many went down water- skiing or boating and never came up. He was a certified scuba diver in Vegas at a time when there weren't many others in town, (and he was also an ambulance chaser), so he volunteered to find missing people. He found a few and gave me every gory detail.
I was always concerned while I was sitting in the water on my skis, waiting for the boat to pull me up, that one of those missing bodies would float up and touch me!
